Grammy 2022, nomination annunciate oggi: ecco dove vedere la diretta in streaming

 

Dopo il trionfo di Billie Ellish, Megan Thee Stallion e Harry Styles nella precedente edizione, quest’anno c’è curiosità e attesa per i nomi degli artisti che otterranno più candidature. La Recording Academy rivelerà le nomination per i Grammy Awards 2022 a partire dalle ore 18, in Italia. L’evento in livestream andrà in onda in diretta dal GRAMMY Museum di Los Angeles e tra i presentatori e gli artisti che sveleranno le candidature, ci saranno anche i Maneskin, sempre più internazionali e apprezzati a livello mondiale.

Novità per i Grammy Awards 2022 che vedranno alcuni cambiamenti, tra i quali l’aggiunta di due nuove categorie: Best Global Music Performance (Global Music Field) e Best Música Urbana Album (Latin Music Field). Ecco le parole del CEO della Recording Academy Harvey Mason Jr. in una nota:

“Questa è una nuova Academy, spinta all’azione e che ha raddoppiato l’impegno a soddisfare le esigenze della comunità musicale. Sebbene il cambiamento e il progresso siano i fattori chiave delle nostre azioni, una cosa rimarrà sempre: il GRAMMY Award è l’unico riconoscimento guidato e votato dai pari nella musica”

L’anno scorso, i Grammy Awards erano stati al centro di polemiche da parte di The Weeknd, artista record di vendite e lodato dalla critica ma completamente snobbato nell’elenco delle nomination. Per lui nessuna candidatura, come se non avesse nemmeno rilasciato un singolo o un disco. Fu una decisione che creò scalpore e lo stesso The Weeknd li definì “corrotti”. Poi, in seguito, sottolineò la decisione di non volerne più far parte:

“Se tu mi chiedessi, tipo, ‘Pensi che i Grammy siano razzisti?’ credo che l’unica vera risposta sia che negli ultimi 61 anni dei Grammy sia che solo 10 artisti neri hanno vinto l’album dell’anno. Non voglio fare questo discorso su di me. Questo è solo un dato di fatto. Guarda, personalmente non mi interessa più. Ho tre Grammy, che non significano nulla per me ora, ovviamente. A causa di questi comitati segreti, non permetterò più alla mia etichetta di presentare la mia musica ai Grammy”
