Nirvana, i Kiss e Peter Gabriel nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

I Nirvana, Kiss e Peter Gabriel sono gli artisti che sono stati confermati e ammessi, a partire dal prossimo anno, nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Insieme a loro, altri nomi importanti come quelli di Hall and Oates, Linda Ronstadt e Cat Stevens.

Si dovrà attendere fino al prossimo 10 aprile 2014 per rendere ufficiale il tutto, attraverso l’evento annuale che si terrà al Barclays Center di Brooklyn.

Forse qualcuno si chiederà il perché questi nomi non siano già stati inseriti tra i grandi cantanti presenti in passato. Il motivo è proprio la regola alla base: devono essere passati almeno venticinque anni dalla prima pubblicazione.

E, infatti, Bleach è il primo album in studio del gruppo musicale statunitense dei Nirvana è uscì proprio nel giugno del 1989 attraverso l’etichetta indipendente Sub Pop Records.

Macabro e nostalgico anniversario per la band il 2014. Saranno infatti esattamente vent’anni dall’anno della morte di Kurt Cobain, avvenuta il 5 aprile 1994.

Premiati anche due figure importanti che lavorano dietro le quinte dell’industria musicale. Il prossimo anno verranno assegnati anche premi ai manager dei Rolling Stones, Andrew Loog Oldham e Brian Epstein, insigniti dell’Ahmet Ertegun alla carriera

La cerimonia cerimonia sarà aperta per il pubblico –che ha votato le nomination iniziali– e verrà anche trasmessa dalla rete statunitense HBO.
