Academy of Country Music Awards 2014, vincitori: George Strait Entertainer of the year, bene Keith Urban e Miranda Lambert
Il veterano della musica country George Strait ha vinto il premio principale agli ACM Awards 2014, mentre Keith Urban e Miranda Lambert si sono portati a casa tre premi a testa.
Si è tenuta questa notte all’MGM Grand di Las Vegas la cerimonia di premiazione dei quarantanovesimi Academy of Country Music Awards. La serata, presentata per il secondo anno consecutivo da Blake Shelton e Luke Bryan, ha visto trionfare il veterano della musica country George Strait che si è aggiudicato il premio principale, l’Entertainer of The Year, battendo Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan (vincitore nel 2013), Blrake Shelton e Taylor Swift.
Ad aggiudicarsi il maggior numero di riconoscimenti sono stati Keith Urban e Miranda Lambert: insieme, grazie a We Were Us, si sono portati a casa il Vocal Event of The Year. Urban ha vinto anche il Video of the year e il Collaboration of The Year grazie a Highway Don’t Care (cantata con Taylor Swift e Tim McGraw), mentre la Lambert si è aggiudicata i più prestigiosi Single Record of the Year (con Mama’s Broken Heart) e Female Vocalist of the Year. Il premio per la miglior voce maschile è andato per il secondo anno consecutivo a Jason Aldean. C’è gloria anche per Lee Brice (miglior canzone con I drive your truck), Justin Moore (miglior cantante emergente), Florida Georgia Line (miglior duo vocale), The Band Perry (miglior gruppo vocale) e Kacey Musgraves (miglior album grazie a Same trailer different park).
