La rivista inglese New Musical Express, meglio conosciuta come NME, ha annunciato i finalisti dei suoi prestigiosi awards che saranno consegnati in una serata speciale, a Londra il 28 febbraio. Gli Arctic Monkeys spopolano e compaiono in ben 7 categorie, tra cui le più importanti: miglior album e miglior band inglese.

A portarli in finale non è stata una giuria di critici ma gli attenti lettori del giornale. Tra l’altro, se vi interessa partecipare, registrandosi sul sito dell’NME è possibile ora esprimere la propria preferenza per ciascuna categoria. Risaltano tra i finalisti anche 4 band che ricevono ben 4 nominations ciascuna: Kasabian, Killers, Muse e My Chemical Romance.

4 volte finalista anche una delle favorie, Amy Winehouse, di cui però due nelle categorie “peggior abbigliamento” e “personaggio negativo dell’anno”. Bravissima e stimata, paga questo piccolo scotto per i suoi eccessi. Non credo se ne avrà troppo a male.
