I 10 testi più fraintesi della musica rock

Un sondaggio effettuato su un campione di ascoltatori britannici ha permesso di stilare la classifica dei testi più facilmente fraintesi della musica rock e affine.

In vetta troviamo nientemeno che i R.E.M. con The sidewinder sleeps tonite, uno dei singoli estratti dal magnifico album Automatic for The People. Il passaggio imputato è quello dove Michael Stipe canta molto velocemente ”Call me when you try to wake her”, che gli ascoltatori fraintendono spesso con “Call me Jamaica”.

Al secondo posto Jimi Hendrix con Purple Haze per il quale ”Excuse me while I kiss the sky” diventa ”Excuse me while I kiss this guy” (a noi sembra invece che sia abbastanza comprensibile… mah). Sul gradino più basso del podio troviamo gli Aerosmith, di cui molti fraintendono “Dude looks like a lady” con “Do just like a lady” (e questa ci sta).

Abbiamo molti dubbi anche sulle numero 6 e 7, mentre per quanto riguarda la numero 9, beh, è noto da anni che certi passaggi siano piuttosto inintelligibili. Ecco la classifica completa, subito dopo la pausa.
